The Pub Group operates 5 venues within the Tamworth district from large scale, fast paced environments, to your family-friendly local. With a variety of roles available to suit beginners through to experienced hospitality staff, including working on the floor, bar, bistro & behind the scenes, there's something for everyone. Head Chef

Well established regional hotel group is seeking highly motivated and experienced head chefs for 2 of our venues.

Reporting to the Group Executive Chef, you will be responsible both for managing the operation of the kitchen, with accountability for the achievement of the kitchen’s success and maximising growth and sustainability opportunities by both fulfilling and building upon customer’s food service needs. 

Head Chef duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards

  • Staying up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes

  • Dealing with suppliers and ensuring that they supply quality goods at affordable prices

  • Oversee the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organising repairs when needed

  • Handling staff issues such as sick leave and attendance, and taking disciplinary action when necessary

  • Developing new dishes and overhauling menus to attract more clientele

  • Ensure that guests receive excellent service and enjoy their dining experience

  • Will be working with a large experienced team that includes group executive chef, experienced sous chef, multiple area chefs, apprentice chefs and kitchen hands

  • Luxury of having a full maintenance team to assist with immediate fix or replacement needs 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum certificate 3 in commercial cookery

  • Current food safety certificate

  • Experience as a Head Chef or similar role

  • Passionate about food and the ever-changing food trends

  • Stock control, rostering and ordering experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • The ability to work closely with the group executive chef and venue manager

Positions are located in the large regional city of Tamworth which offers excellent educational, sporting and medical facilities with easy access to Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane.

Bar & Bistro Staff

Friendly, outgoing staff required for bar, bistro, TAB and gaming areas in busy local hotels.

Minimum 20-30 hours per week. Immediate start.

Must be available nights and weekends.

RSA, RCG and hospitality experience essential.

Gaming and TAB experience preferred.

Potential growth for supervisor and management positions.

Senior Assistant Manager

The Longyard Hotel is a premier venue at the heart of the Country Music Capital Tamworth.

Our venue is a large fast-paced operation that consists of indoor/outdoor dining facilities, kids play area, gaming room of 25 machines, sports bar with TAB & Keno facilities and the best beer garden & open front deck in the business.

We are looking for a highly experienced Assistant Manager who is energetic, reliable and passionate and keen to develop their pathway to becoming a Venue Manager.

The right candidate must be ambitious and dedicated, boast experience in managing a large team of staff with an outstanding work ethic and a high attention to detail and presentation.

In addition to this you must possess and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proficient in rostering and budget controls

  • Experience in stocktaking & stock control procedures

  • Sound knowledge of NSW compliance and regulatory procedures

  • Strong computer and digital literacy skills

  • Hands on management and leadership style

Bar Supervisor

Management and senior duties of a busy hotel including opens/closing, food and beverage service.

You will need:

  • Gaming training and knowledge

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong food and beverage knowledge

  • Experience in high volume venues

  • Attention to detail and importance of venue presentation

Must have: have RSA, RCG and be able to work hospitality hours – days, nights, weekends and closing shifts.
